She nails it. If you imagine that Trump led an insurrection, then Tlaib is guilty as sin.

See video.

(I understand that, if you get your "news" from Curt's Holy Trinity, you have no idea what this is about.)

    po,

This is why people believe that you were being honest when you compared Israel to Nazi Germany...

...and think you're lying about you being opposed to the Hamas murders, rapes and kidnappings.

    You just revealed your truth...AGAIN.

Read the piece below. MTG quoted Rashida Tlaib out of context.

    cnn.com

  10. by oldedude on October 26, 2023 11:00 am
On which charge? There were six charges (other than the first one you said was "misquoted."

The word "insurrection" came up in the article a lot in references to the past few weeks.

Rashida Tlaib Stays Silent While Challenged Over Hamas Crimes
Progressive Democrat Rashida Tlaib, one of the loudest critics of Israel within the U.S. government, has remained silent after being asked to take a stance in condemning Hamas' attack and justifying Israel's decision to retaliate.

Early on Saturday, the Palestinian paramilitary group Hamas launched a surprise attack by land, sea, and air on Israel, killing hundreds of people, including civilians and soldiers, and kidnapping dozens. After the attack, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared war on Hamas, and warned Israelis to brace themselves for a "long and difficult" conflict.

Tlaib, who is of Palestinian descent, faces calls to be primaried after releasing a statement on Sunday which called for Israel to lift its blockade of the Gaza Strip and condemned the country's "apartheid" against Palestinians. The lawmaker said she mourned the loss of life on both the Palestinian and the Israeli sides, but did not explicitly condemn Hamas' attack.

Tlaib’s anti-Israel slander shows just how far Democrats have strayed
Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s latest anti-Israel slur highlights yet again just how far Democrats have strayed. Once upon a time, they wouldn’t have tolerated such outrageous attacks on the Jewish state. Today, Tlaib is just one of several Dems who repeatedly lie about Israel and push for its demise.

“You cannot claim to hold progressives values yet back Israel’s apartheid government,” Tlaib said Tuesday. Yet the suggestion that Jerusalem is under an “apartheid government” is beyond outrageous: Israel welcomes people of all faiths and backgrounds.

Arab Israelis serve in the Knesset and government. Palestinians live for the most part under their own government, though Israel takes measures to prevent them from attacking.

Then again, Tlaib might be right that you can’t count yourself among “progressives” today unless you oppose Israel. Progressive Dems who hate the Jewish state (and Jews?) now include Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), Ilhan Omar (Minn.), Cori Bush (Mo.), Jamaal Bowman (NY), Marie Newman (Ill.) and Betty McCollum (Minn.) — all of whom, for instance, backed a Tlaib resolution to describe Israel’s founding as a “Nakba,” the Arabic term for “catastrophe.” Some even sought to prevent Israel from protecting innocent Israeli civilians from rocket attacks with the Iron Dome anti-missile system

Democratic divisions over Israel heat up over Gaza hospital blast controversy
Democrats on Capitol Hill are furious over Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s refusal to retract or add new context to her statements blaming Israel for the deadly blast that devastated a Gaza hospital, killing hundreds of people and setting off a regional backlash against the US and Israel.

Tlaib’s initial social media posts reflected the early Hamas-sourced reports out of Gaza. But those reports are now at odds with initial American intelligence, which subsequently concluded that the Israel Defense Forces were not responsible for the explosion.

The dispute has laid bare long-standing and increasingly passionate disagreements among congressional Democrats over the party’s relationship with Israel – and, now, how to position the party as the deadly conflict in Israel and Gaza escalates.

Polls show Americans agree with Biden on US foreign policy on Israel
Tlaib, a Palestinian American and a longtime advocate for Palestinian rights, has been the most outspoken critic of Israel in Congress since her election in 2018. Her insistence on blaming Israel for the blast, which the US believes was struck by an errant rocket launched by extremist group Islamic Jihad, has roiled colleagues determined to present a united front at a harrowing time.

“That’s a vile position to take,” Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz told CNN, suggesting that Tlaib should review intelligence made available to House members. “She should at least pull those tweets down, instead of remaining entrenched in a position that is dangerous and unacceptable.”

Democrats have mostly been measured in their public comments about Tlaib, expressing frustration with her unyielding position in light of the conflicting reports and new evidence that Israel was not responsible for the hospital blast while also blaming the media over its coverage of the tragedy.

“When Israel makes statements, they have to show satellite imagery and all sorts of video. But when Hamas says something, the entire media world ran with it.” Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz said. “It caused riots in all sorts of countries. It caused meetings to be canceled for the president. And so everyone has to be careful before they just react, and wait for things to be confirmed.”

REP RASHIDA TLAIB INCITES PROTESTERS TO RIOT AND TAKE OVER THE CAPITOL: WHEN WILL SHE BE INDICTED?
Rashida Tlaib whipped up a crowd of violent protesters and drove them into a frenzy by lying to them about Israel bombing a hospital when it was her pals the terrorists who were responsible for the bomb that only hit the parking lot and missed the hospital completely.

The violent rioters then took over the Capitol and interfered with the business of the House. When does her trial begin? She stands accused of doing what President Trump didn’t do.

This was an insurrection as plain as day by the Hamas supporters incited by Tlaib who never met a Muslim terrorist she didn’t love. What do you think the odds of her being arrested and tried are? There is no chance at all with the Biden caliphate and Merrick Garland in charge.

[on X account:] Rep Andy Biggs @RepAndyBiggsAZ
Did elected official @RashidaTlaib incite a pro-Hamas crowd to take over the Capitol complex?

This event interfered with legislative business and work.

Should be a clear insurrection according to the J6 Committee.

  12. by HatetheSwamp on October 26, 2023 11:07 am

So, Donna. Do you oppose the censure of Tlaib? I'd'a spected that of po...

  13. by Ponderer on October 26, 2023 12:21 pm

Why? I already told you to knock yourselves out censuring her.

  14. by oldedude on October 26, 2023 12:33 pm
This is where the dims screwed themselves by making the bar so low for trumpster. Now..... anything that meets that bar is okay to use. So regardless of how stoopid it sounds to our little germans, it's fair game. As long as it's not a concocted story and a lie, they're free to do pretty much anything they want. And putting Tlaib in a complete persona non grata position (no committees, no right to speak, pretty much she's just filling a chair with her butt until they vote her out (which may be before the elections).

This is also to say that everyone voted in to office has "stuff." Tlaib has hers, except it involves the right to entice murder to her. She did recant "some" things, but not enough to the liking of even many of the dims. You've still got your good little germans that will protect her. And the NAZI party of the US, and the NeoNAZIs, and the peckerwoods, and all the other misfit tools of the world.

  15. by HatetheSwamp on October 26, 2023 12:34 pm

So, po, then, you do support the Hamas rapes and murders and kidnappings? Based on what you're posting, it's impossible to think that you're not.

  16. by Ponderer on October 26, 2023 12:52 pm

Bill, I am afraid that you are going to have to explain how you got from me telling you to go ahead and censure Talib, which is all I have said in this whole thread, to me supporting "the Hamas rapes and murders and kidnappings"...

You did take those blood pressure meds that I told you to take this morning, didn't you?

  17. by oldedude on October 26, 2023 8:02 pm
It wasn't BP meds for you that I was talking about. Are you on lithium? you need to see your doc ASAP.

Bill, I am afraid that you are going to have to explain how you got from me telling you to go ahead and censure Talib, which is all I have said in this whole thread, to me supporting "the Hamas rapes and murders and kidnappings"...

It's not that, really, po. Your ongoing snide attitude is suggestive but it's that you're still unrepentant about calling out Israel's "war crime" for turning off the water while reports of the beheadings of babies and gang rapes and the slaughter of the elderly too weak to be hostages were rolling in...

...and that crazed moment when, in the wake of all of that, you equated ISRAEL to Nazi Germany.

    YE MUST REPENT.

  19. by Ponderer on October 27, 2023 7:25 am

I actually feel that you sincerely tried to explain your asinine assertion. So I thank you for the attempt. But you failed quite miserably, Bill.

In your attempt to explain yourself, you only raised another thing that you need to explain:

'Cuz ya see, now you gotta explain how you get from me declaring (as pretty much all human rights organizations around the world have) that shutting off water to hundreds of thousands of innocent human beings during a war is a "war crime"... to me supporting "the Hamas rapes and murders and kidnappings"...

Try to make sense this time, please.

  20. by Donna on October 27, 2023 7:49 am

I'm saddened that apparently Hate supports war crimes. I've been clear that I deplore war crimes committed by Israel as well as Hamas.

A human can only survive a minimum of 4 days without water, and I just read this morning that spigots are starting to run dry in Gaza because the Israeli government turned off the water, which is a war crime.

  21. by HatetheSwamp on October 27, 2023 8:29 am

po: now you gotta explain how you get from me declaring (as pretty much all human rights organizations around the world have) that shutting off water to hundreds of thousands of innocent human beings during a war is a "war crime"

Donna: I'm saddened that apparently Hate supports war crimes.

    Nice try.

Show us pb diminishing the import of Israel shutting off the water spigot. G'head, make my EFFINday...because I never got close to saying that.

What I said, from the beginning, is that I oppose all evil...ON BOTH SIDES.

And, I have said repeatedly that you reveal all we need to know about yourselves in that, while increasingly horrid reports of torture and rapes and baby murders and the slaughter of the elderly who were physically incapable of being used as hostages...

...the rest of us were trying to get information...

...and, you two condemning one side...

...and comparing only that side to Nazi Germany.

You demonstrated yourselves to be the bigots that you are...

...and, you're unrepentant. That, more than anything disgusts caring people.

THAT is what we call a low information voter.

  23. by Donna on October 27, 2023 8:38 am

Collective punishment on a population is a war crime, and Israel is doing exactly that.

I despise Radhida Tlaib's refusal to condemn Hamas. I also deplore the US Congress refusal to condemn Israeli war crimes.

  24. by HatetheSwamp on October 27, 2023 9:04 am

I despise Radhida Tlaib's refusal to condemn Hamas. I also deplore the US Congress refusal to condemn Israeli war crimes.

Clearly, you consume antisemitic media. I oppose all evil on both sides.

Please enumerate, say, a half dozen of Israel's war crimes, apart from the temporary water spigot...which they've reversed.

  25. by Donna on October 27, 2023 9:49 am

I accept that, Hts, but I'm still bothered by the way you blew off Israel cutting off clean water to Gaza like it was no big deal.

  26. by Donna on October 27, 2023 9:53 am

I agree with Rashida Tlaib's statement:

Tlaib Statement on Resolution That Doesn’t Mourn Palestinian Lives

    Oct 25, 2023

    Press

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Representative Rashida Tlaib (MI-12) released the following statement:

“I have and continue to denounce the killing of civilians, no matter their faith or ethnicity. Targeting civilians is a war crime, no matter who does it. Do not confuse my vote against this one-sided resolution with a lack of empathy for all those who are grieving. I voted against this resolution because it is a deeply incomplete and biased account of what is happening in Israel and Palestine, and what has been happening for decades. This resolution rightly mourns the thousands of Israeli civilians killed and wounded in the horrific attacks but explicitly does not mourn the thousands of Palestinian civilians, including over 2,000 children, killed and wounded in the collective punishment of Palestine. How does treating Palestinian civilians as less than fully human, as legitimate targets for retribution, bring us closer to a just and lasting peace?

“U.S. military support for Israel with absolutely no conditions on upholding human rights has not brought peace and justice to the region. This resolution is not a serious examination of the root causes of the violence we are witnessing and doubles down on decades of failed policy. Achieving a just and lasting peace where Israelis and Palestinians have equal rights and freedoms, and where no person lives in fear for their safety, requires ending the blockade, occupation, and dehumanizing system of apartheid. I urge my colleagues to support our Ceasefire Now Resolution to call for an immediate de-escalation and ceasefire, to send humanitarian aid and assistance to Gaza, and to save as many lives as possible.”

  27. by HatetheSwamp on October 27, 2023 9:56 am

Splain how I blew off what Israel did. My posts are out there in the same threads from which I'm quoting po and you.

My point to this day, is that the rest of us here were struggling to grasp the magnitude of these historic events and you two didn't pause long enough to do a full belch and you were already condemning...

    ...only one side.

  28. by Donna on October 27, 2023 10:09 am

I'll dig up the post later, but I have to leave for work now.

  29. by Donna on October 27, 2023 10:10 am

Fuck you. I never condemned only one side you fucking liar.

  30. by oldedude on October 27, 2023 12:46 pm
Donna- I agree that Tlaib backtracked on her statement a bit. This was after she refused twice when given the opportunity to "clarify" her thoughts. So there's that. I quoted the present Law of Land Warfare (LLW) that is used internationally for cases of genocide, violations of the "Rules of War" most countries subscribe to. Many do not. Russia, China, and many more. In most cases, those not subscribing routinely violate the rules of war in their standards of conduct, and are still expected to not violate the rules. Fat chance, but that's how it's set up.

Had Hamas initiated their attack using the rules of war, I would have been more on your side. The fact they were given instructions to do what they did (and did it), gives rise to the argument this is not an "recognized military force" and therefore are accounted zero standing in the rules of war.

After the war though both German and Japanese in WWII that committed international violations of the rules of war (Holocaust involving Jews, gays, writers, actors, gypsies, etc. and the Japanese assault at Nanking where they "tested" their swords on Chinese infants hung by their legs). I don't see not giving another country Electric and water rises to that level. Nor do the international courts.

One of your thoughts has been based on the thought the folks that live on Gaza are innocent victims of the circumstances. Here are some interesting articles you need to check out. Remember about my comment "Haiti is 95% Catholic, 100% Vodun.

Teaching Palestinian Children to Value Terrorism
Peace between Israel and the Palestinians does not, fundamentally, depend on who is doing the negotiating, how skilled they are, and other such diplomatic matters. Fundamentally it depends on the desire for peace.

A new study of Palestinian textbooks finds that Palestinian children are being taught to glorify and value terrorism and violence. The study, called "Palestinian Elementary School Curriculum 2016–17: Radicalization and Revival of the PLO Program," was conducted by the Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (in Jerusalem) and can be found here.

The study's summary begins with this:
The new Palestinian curriculum, which includes new textbooks for grades 1–4, is significantly more radical than previous curricula. To an even greater extent than the 2014–15 textbooks, the curriculum teaches students to be martyrs, demonizes and denies the existence of Israel and focuses on a “return” to an exclusively Palestinian homeland.
    Pressure Points
Abrams gives his take on U.S. foreign policy, with special focus on the Middle East and democracy and human rights issues.

Within the pages of the textbooks children are taught to be expendable. Messages such as: “the volcano of my revenge”; “the longing of my blood for my land”; and “I shall sacrifice my blood to saturate the land” suffuse the curriculum. Math books use numbers of dead martyrs to teach arithmetic. The vision of an Arab Palestine includes the entirety of what is now Israel, defined as the “1948 Occupied Territories.”

Palestinians: The "Ugly Crime" of a School Curriculum
A recent study of Palestinian textbooks found that Palestinian children are being taught to glorify and value terrorism and violence. The Palestinian Authority and its Minister of Education, Sabri Saidam, want Arab schools in Jerusalem to teach the students why Muslims should be killing Jews.

"Within the pages of the textbooks, children are being taught to be expendable. Messages such as: 'The Volcano of My Revenge'; 'The Longing of my Blood for my Land'; and 'I Shall Sacrifice My Blood to Saturate the Land' suffuse the [Palestinian] curriculum. Math books use numbers of dead martyrs to teach arithmetic. The vision of an Arab Palestine includes the entirety of what is now Israel, defined as the '1948 Occupied Territories.'" — IMPACT-se.

How come the Arab citizens of Israel have never complained about the Israeli educational system? The answer is because they evidently like the education that Israel has been offering them. It teaches them to value life, freedom of speech and democracy, and Arab Israelis admire it. They love the education Israel offers them because it does not demonize any race or group of people. They love it because it does not teach them to kill Jews, but to live with them in peace and security. This is the truth that the Palestinian Authority does not want to hear. This is the truth that it does not want the rest of the world to hear.

‘BLM At School’ Shares Pro-Palestinian Teaching Guides To Mobilize Kids In ‘Daily Struggle’ Against Israel
he Black Lives Matter (BLM) at School organization published a pro-Palestinian toolkit for schoolkids Tuesday following the Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel.

Following the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel that killed over 1,400 people, multiple BLM-associated organizations, including Chicago BLM and BLM Grassroots, posted pro-Hamas statements that drew widespread condemnation. The BLM at School organization, which supplies schools with resources on BLM-related topics, began recommending resources for educators that teach the “ways in which Israel seeks to improve its dismal world image” after the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel.

    You did, for a time.

While, it's true that po's the one who...very early on...made the accusation that Israel had committed a "War Crime," EFFINyou are the one who mentioned the spigot thing...and that had to be within a short time of Israel's action...

You were quick on the draw to expose Israel...

...and while Curt and OD and pb were merely struggling to grasp the significance of the horror of the Hamas atrocities. In fact, ol pb wasn't really posting at all then. He was overwhelmed by the reality.

I think that you need to be honest with yourself and seek some self-awareness.

    True...

Ultimately...eventually...you acknowledged the import of Hamas' horrors. But, belatedly compared to others on SS, save for isle and po.

No she didn't, ever. You fuckingliar. You're such a Goddamned fuckingliar, Bill.

Why is the acknowledgement of Israel's having committed the war crime of shutting off water to an entire population of innocent civilians during war time such a sore spot for you? Why does it get on every last nerve you have to such a psychotic degree?

  33. by HatetheSwamp on October 28, 2023 7:11 am

Youz two were trashing Israel when the rest of here were being stunned and overwhelmed by the unfolding reality.

The rest of us have hearts.

Your early posts suggest that you are, as that gay Guy Curt never heard of calls you lot, JEWHATERS.

Also, I desperately want to know where you were going to be informed in those early moments. None of my sources, which I choose for being fairly reliable in practicing journalism, got to reporting anything other than the most basic facts much after you were reporting on Israel's "war crime."

I'm especially disappointed in Donna in all this. I know that you are unabashed living tenaciously smack dab in the center of your preferences and prejudices and use "news" sources that feed fuel to your prejudices.

But, Donna!!!!!? Say it ain't so.

OH! I see. You have only been taking issue with the fact that we say that it's a war crime. I understand now. You accept that it's a war crime yourself, but we are antisemitic HAMAS lovers for saying that it's a war crime. I see.

Please forgive our misunderstanding. We couldn't see the logic of you attacking us for asserting and believing something that you also believe. Our apologies.

    Reading comprehension, po.

    No. Not at all.

I'm taking issue with the fact that, when everyone else here was struggling to understand what happened, you two were finding a reason to condemn only on side.

It's what I noted t'other day. It's in unguarded moments that we reveal who we are.

The rest of us are, at our core, seekers of knowledge and truth...

    ...you two?, haters and condemners.

Are Donna and you still of the belief that the atrocity that defines October 7, is Israel turning off the fresh water supply?...EFFINafter Hamas unleashed it's atrocities?...because that was your message in the moment.

Correct. There's only one side she blames. Remember, Israel is at fault for everything going on in Gaza. (which is the same as saying the US is responsible for the poor being murdered in Mexico by the cartels).

She finally "was forced" to say she didn't agree to the beheading of children and the burning alive of the infirmed Jews, just to get you off her back. Nothing more.

I really tried to reason. After this, there is no quarter.

I wish I could say that that's an exaggeration but it's precisely my understanding.

I explained this once, but apparently you didn't read. You're nothing but a poser. You pretend to have "empathy," but it's all fake, and you do it just to bullshit your way through life. Those little voices in your head (ala Card) are confusing you too much. You're sister (smack), you're mother (smack), you're sister (smack), you're mother (smack), you're sister (smack), you're mother (smack). and you don't know what you are or who you are.
